Microscan: MicroHAWK Dual-Boot Solutions Kit Cameras

Renton, WA — Microscan has released two new MicroHAWK dual-boot solutions kit cameras, allowing users to perform a wide range of read- ing, machine vision and verification tasks with a single unit. Previously, companies automating barcode

reading, verification and machine vision tasks have had to juggle different tools by investing in hard- ware, software, implementation, training, and sup- port. With the newly-released dual-boot cameras, Microscan provides end-users with the possibility to make the best of their investment in automation while using high-performance solutions. The dual-boot design of MicroHAWK cameras

ensures seamless switching between MicroHAWK- ID using WebLink/ ESP®, or machine vision and verification using Auto - VISION®/Vision scape® by the user. MicroHAWK dual-boot cameras offer unparalleled power and connectivity for both USB and Ethernet. The ID/MV-30 includes USB connectivity, and may be plugged directly into the PC to power and use. The ID/MV-40 has Ethernet connectivity and a sepa- rate power supply. The ID/MV-40 with Ethernet provides the fastest camera-to-PC communications for image display and upload of results. Top-Loading Oven

Round Lake, IL — Grieve has built an electrically heated 500°F (260°C) top-loading oven, currently used to test electronic components at a cus- tomer’s facility. The unit has a work- space of 26 x 2 x 2 ft (7.9 x 0.6 x 0.6m). A series of four 2 HP recircu- lating blowers provides 8,000 CFM of horizontal, rear-to-front airflow to the workload, while 70 kW nichrome wire elements heat the oven.
