Torrance, CA — PATLITE is offering a wide range of visual and audible indication products that range from MP3 voice alarms to signal lights with multicolor LEDs, along with network enabled sig- nal towers. The company is highlighting its LA6 network-enabled LED signal tower. The LA6 series is an advanced, fully-customizable smart signal tower that does not limit users to the standard three or five stack lights with preset colored light modules. The LA6 has a clear body, is programmable

with up to five different segments with 21 color choices, 11 alarm patterns and endless flash rate settings to fit users’ unique signaling needs. It has multicolor LEDs and buzzer sounds com- bined with four different tower modes. The LA6 PoE version can read and write

all necessary data by using an Ethernet cable. It also supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), eliminating the input and output modules for PLCs or running wires. The LA6 was designed to solve

the drawbacks of traditional stack lights, one drawback being that indi- vidual stack light modules can be dif- ficult to see across large plant floors. To fix this issue, the LA6 can be pro- grammed to display one single, solid

Royce and V-TEK Release

Automated Die Sorter

Mankato, MN — Royce Instruments and V-TEK International have released an automated die sorter, the AP+. Royce and V-TEK combined technologies to build on the success- ful MP300, creating a solution for low-volume, high-mix production and research environments. The AP+ offers a variety of

input and output options while main- taining quick changeover between processes. Device input is from wafer, waffle pack, Gel-Pak®, JEDEC tray, or custom tray using an input map. Output options are the same, with the addition of a new tape-and- reel system. The AP+ taper features an adjustable-width track with heat and pressure seal options. Die Sort Manager touchscreen

software provides input to output traceability at the die level. Die sort modes include multi-project wafer (pizza mask) or reticle mask wafer mapping, ink dot recognition and pick all die. AP+ options include non- surface die pick-up, 180° die flip and taper post-place vision inspection with empty pocket detection. The MP300 has become a wide-

ly adopted solution with over 85 machines installed at 57 companies worldwide. The AP+ is designed to take that performance to the next level and represents a solid platform for ongoing development of new capabilities going forward. First shipments of the AP+ will occur in third quarter 2017 with multiple units planned for installation world-

wide by the end of the year. Contact: Royce Instruments,

color throughout the entire unit when an error occurs, making it highly visible even from the far- thest ends of a factory. Another issue with current stack lights is

that they only show that an error has occurred with a single blinking light, and no additional

information. The LA6 can be programmed to show any number of processes with different colors or alarm sounds, including but not limited to: indicat- ing the severity of an error on a machine, showing the progress of a machine process, or visually indi- cating the depletion of tank fluids in real time. It can even be used in a countdown mode, visually aiding the pace of an assembly line. Workers can visualize and understand more

accurate and detailed machine information at a distance without having to be tethered to an HMI. This information can be conveyed throughout the plant floor in real time, increasing efficiencies and decreasing the need for more complicated, large-

scale capital investments. Contact: PATLITE (USA) Corp., 20130 S
