Suwanee, GA — Long-time ASM As- sembly Systems customer, A&A Electronics Assembly, recently ex- panded its use of ASM’s products to support high-volume printing of PCBs with miniaturized 0201 de- vices. The Arizona-based EMS com- pany added ASM’s VectorGuard™ high-tension system to its stencil portfolio, along with UFP Eco Roll under-stencil cleaning fabric, as shrinking component dimensions for demanding applications dictated ad- vanced printing inputs. VectorGuard is an interchange-

able stencil foil system that allows use of a single frame with multiple foils. Superb for high-changeover op- erations, the stencils reduce storage requirements by as much as 75 per- cent and when compared with con-

ventional mesh-mounted stencils, which may sag and lose tension after repeated use, maintain consistent tension over the life of the stencil. A&A can use the VectorGuard frame with its existing VectorGuard foils and has already seen improvement in micro-aperture registration and a reduction in corner peeking. The company also switched to

ASM’s UFP Eco Rolls as its exclusive under-stencil cleaning fabric. The company previously used a different cleaning paper that left lint

inside the printer and on the PCBs. Contact: ASM Assembly Sys- tems, LLC, 3975 Lakefield Court,

Shingle Springs, CA — PDR is now offering three models that make up its IR-E3 Evolution series of SMD/BGA rework stations. The PDR IR-E3G has been the compa- ny’s top-selling station for many years. The versatile system is suitable for a wide range of appli- cations on small PCBs. The sys- tems are now available in three models — IR-E3S standard, IR- E3G gold and the IR-E3M micro- component/PCB rework system. The rework systems are en-

gineered to cope with the chal- lenges of repairing today’s PCB assemblies. The systems use PDR’s patented focused IR technology, a dual-band visible IR heating process. The stations are nozzle-free,

gas-free, clean, simple, and easy-to- use. Each model is designed for pre- cise control to produce 100 percent yield SMD/BGA rework without com- plications. Key features include accu- rate closed-loop thermal feedback

and intuitive easy-to-use software. The IR-E3 series provides extremely high levels of profiling and process
