Pro-Active Engineering Now ITAR-Certified

Sun Prairie, WI — Pro-Active Engi- neering has completed its Interna- tional Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) certification process. The ITAR registration allows the company to offer its manufac- turing services to government defense projects. In 2016, the company re-

ported a phenomenal year of growth, with sales increasing by 62 percent. To meet de- mand, the company hired a second-production team and installed a third high-speed line, which increased overall throughput by 50 percent. The increased capacity has al-

lowed the company to reach larger markets, which is where the ITAR certification process began. The process was not without its

hurdles. The U.S. Department of De- fense requires a high level of security and sophistication for defense proj- ects. To meet the requirements, the company had to spend time reevalu- ating and upgrading its security, doc-

umentation and disposal processes. The ITAR certification turned

out to be an even better opportunity than expected, as U.S. military de-

TRI Partners with Key Automotive Manufacturers

San Jose, CA — Test Research, Inc. (TRI) is expanding its role in the au- tomotive electronics industry after establishing partnerships with key automotive industry manufacturers. TRI's continued push for quali-

ty, high reliability and outstanding support has been rewarded with sev- eral purchase orders as well as ap- proved vendor list (AVL) endorse- ments. The systems selected by auto makers include SPI, AOI, AXI, and ICT machines. The automotive industry is em-

bracing ever more electronics sys- tems designed to serve and protect human lives. TRI's production quali- ty testing and inspection helps en- sure that these systems perform under all conditions without crip- pling manufacturing defects. TRI offers a robust product

RapidProto Offers Quick PCB Prototyping

Indianapolis, IN — RapidProto™ is now offering one- to three-day pro- duction-quality assembly options to speed product development. Using the latest equipment and technology, a high-level ERP system, technician- level assemblers, quality-validated boards, and parts are all components of RapidProto's smooth manufactur- ing process. When prototyping, engineers

need to know that they can count on certain things: good parts, quality as- sembly practices and that the bare PCB was built to the exact specifica- tions requested. After ruling out bad parts, PCB fabrication errors and as- sembly errors, the engineer is then left with fewer variables to chase down. This allows finalizing a design

to be much faster, saving both time and money in iterations. The most critical piece, the

printed circuit board, is supplied by DIVSYS International, and the labo- ratory verification that DIVSYS pro- vides — that the board is made to the engineer's specification — is an inte- gral piece of the RapidProto recipe. Removing further variables, the com- pany uses customer-supplied compo- nents, or can purchase the compo- nents from reliable distributors and assemble the boards into a produc-

tion model. Contact: RapidProto, 8116
