The PenFriend™is an award winning (2010 Canadian Institute For The Blind) design which enables people with a visual impairment or learning disability to easily record their own labels for a wide range of products around the home - including kitchen items, music, films, medicine packets and accessories such as handbags or belts. Simply place the label on the item that needs to be identified, hold down the record button, touch the label and record a message. Each label is uniquely numbered so that it can recognise the individual recording - to play back simply touch the label with the PenFriend™and listen. It can even be used for freezer food, sell by dates, cooking instructions and dosage of medicine.
