This transfer and transport aid actively supports the user during the process of rising to a standing position and during transfers. The QuickMove is also suitable for those people with impaired balance and reduced strength in their legs due to the extra support it can provide over traditional transfer aids. The person must be able to weight bear whilst supported and have some strength in their arms to be able to participate in the transfer. They need to be able to grip the handle bar and understand instructions. Once the person is standing the carer can lower the seat pads to provide support, giving them the option to sit during the transfer and allowing them to be moved for a longer distance between transfer surfaces. The angle of the seat pads can be adjusted by the carers easily (using the handle bars) whilst the user is rising to support standing. The knee brace / lower leg support is adjustable in depth and height making it suitable for a wide variety of users in a care home, hospital or domestic setting. The width of the legs can also be adjusted to allow it to be used around wider armchairs or other furniture.
The QuickMove can also be used to:
