It consists of a flexible plastic board with comfortable foam rubber padding and water repellent smooth nylon cover allowing it to slide easily in bed. For Repositioning In Bed 2 2 Maxi WendyLett Draw Sheet 2 Base Sheet Two Way Movement
The WendyLett system is designed to enable easier turning and repositioning in bed. The system incorporates a draw sheet and a base sheet which, unlike other systems, can be left underneath the user and is comfortable and safe to sleep on. The WendyLett System is designed to be used safely with a pressure relieving mattress. The base sheets consist of a low friction centre part, which enables easy turning for a person independent of a carer. An anti-slip striped surface on the side acts as a brake, reducing the risk of the user falling out of bed. For people requiring assistance, the draw sheets are used. There are two alternatives - striped for two-way sideways movement and checked for four-way movement. The striped draw sheet is placed on top of the low friction base sheet enabling a comfortable, easy turn for both carer and patient. If the user is heavy or more effort is required for safe turning, the checked draw sheet can be used as this has a low friction back.
