“After 11 incredible years building up the Home Instead Senior Care family, Sam and I wanted to fi nd the best way to position the UK network for continued growth and success. It could be you!

n Donna Staff ord is a franchise partner with Select Appointments, the UK’s leading recruitment franchise, operating branch offi ces in Peterborough and Lincoln. Donna said: “When I was made

redundant, I responded to an ad in the local paper for a recruitment consultant. I knew I was good at sales and interacting with customers, as well as meeting targets, so I thought the position would be ideal for me. I was interviewed and got the job. “I loved recruitment straight

away, and over the course of the

fi rst few years, I had experience of both a large corporate and a small independent business. I then joined Select Appointments as executive manager, but as I learned more about the company’s franchise model, I knew it was for me. Fortunately, they agreed that I would make a good franchise owner!

“Recruitment off ers a great career path for a franchisee. You have a rare opportunity to be exposed to a wide variety of interesting organisations and learn about the various roles people play within them. The key thing is to be able to build relationships. You need buckets of passion, lots of drive and a determination to succeed!

“I have two territories now and a great team. I might even try for a third one! I don’t think I would be in the position I am today without franchising.”
