Franchise Focus Path to success
Join Blazes Renewables in its efforts to change the business climate INVESTMENT LEVEL: FROM £14,995
B
lazes Renewables is looking to recruit new franchise partners who have a passion for combating climate change and the ability to establish a
successful business in their territory. By joining a strong and growing network of expert sales advisers, franchisees can become part of an innovative solution that will help businesses cut their energy costs and reduce their carbon footprint. The threat of climate change has never been more prominent in the news and Blazes Renewables is tackling the adverse effects of it. The two main products it focuses on selling to businesses are currently LED lighting and solar photovoltaic (PV) panels. LED lighting saves electricity, while solar PV generates it; therefore, investing in one or both of these technologies will enable businesses to signifi cantly reduce their energy consumption.
The fastest and easiest way for companies to achieve this is by targeting LED lighting. The franchisee’s primary role is to carry out a free lighting audit on businesses that have a real desire to reduce the amount of energy they use. The detailed report will identify the cost of operating the existing lighting system and include a comparison against the reduced costs if they were to convert to LED. Savings are typically around 60 per cent. The franchisee will then sell and manage the installation of state-of-the-art LED lighting. Once installed, franchisees then look for cross-selling opportunities such as
solar PV. Blazes Renewables’ innovative approach has already helped numerous businesses cut back on the amount of energy they use.
As Blazes has been trading for over 25 years, you can trust that the model is highly established. With a 22-year history of franchising, Blazes has enjoyed membership of the British Franchise Association (bfa) since 1994, and Michael Eyre, Blazes’ managing director, has remained an active member ever since. He has been on the bfa’s board of directors since 2007, and served as chairman of the board from 2010 to 2013. Michael is also currently the chairman of the European Franchise Federation. Blazes Renewables’ director of franchising is Alan Wilkinson, who has over 20 years’ experience. When the Qualifi ed Franchise Professional (QFP) qualifi cation was introduced in 2011, he was the fi rst person in the UK to hold both a diploma in Franchise Management and the QFP at the same time.
Alan was the very fi rst franchisee for the Blazes heating brand introduced in 2006, and has been through the transition from heating to renewables with Michael over the last 10 years, so he knows fi rst-hand what a franchisee will experience. “With 50 years’ combined experience in franchising, there could be no one better than Michael and me to train and nurture franchisees throughout their franchising journey with Blazes,” said Alan. If you are highly organised with exceptional interpersonal skills and a real
desire to work for yourself (but you also enjoy working with others), this business could be perfect for you. You will be the sort of person who thrives when working from a home offi ce, and you will enjoy the benefi t of fl exible working hours. While previous sales skills and/or business skills are advantageous, Blazes will support and train new franchisees in every aspect of the business, from generating sales leads right through to invoicing and fi nancing. If you want to be part of a thriving business with a track record of success spanning 25 years – while making a genuine difference to the planet – then Blazes Renewables could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.
