204. The identification of main shipping lanes was undertaken on a Zonal level, based on the AIS shipping surveys. This is ensure that routeing outside of the study area for the site is effectively assessed as impact on vessels routes could be noted, due to the nature of shipping, at the start of their transit/track as well as on the approach to the site.
205. The tracks following each lane have been identified and their lateral distribution analysed to define the 90% traffic level. The 90% lane boundaries identified in the vicinity of the East Anglia THREE site are presented in Figure 17.1. Following this, a description of each of the shipping lanes identified in the area is presented in Table 17.1.
