Healthy Picnics 3 Cookery club members took to the great outdoors and sat on


the lawn outside Mr Shackleton’s office munching their healthy picnic food - with the addition of a Kit-Kat or two. Perhaps they should publish a recipe book at the end of the year and put it on the website!


Anti Bullying


Week 3 Children in Upper School have been learning about bullying and how to prevent it, as part of the national week long ‘Anti Bullying’ campaign. lessons


In pupils


PSHE have


discussed how to identify bullying and how to deal with it.


Children in Year 3 and Year 4 have talked about verbal bullying, physical bullying and silent bullying. Some pupils took part in a special assembly and performed some short plays about how it feels to be bullied.


Pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 discussed cyber bullying and how to stay safe whilst using the internet and mobile phones.


All children were asked to produce a poster to illustrate the various forms of bullying and how we can put a stop to it. Some children created individual posters, others worked in small groups. There were prizes awarded to winners in each year group and the end results were some brilliantly eye-catching and informative posters.
