Name Rohan Shanghavi Form 4B

Served on Children’s Council Spring/Summer 2010

My Time as a Children’s Council Representative Q. Why do you think your classmates voted for you to be their Children’s Council representative ? A.

I think that the children in my form respect me and think that I have good and appropriate ideas. Q. A. Q. A. In your election speech why did you say that you would be best for the job ?

I said that I would try and make our form’s ideas happen so that people are satisfied with what is happening throughout the school.

Do you think you have kept that promise ?

Yes, I have put forward the opinions of the members of my form at meetings and noted their ideas down in our class book.

Q. What has been your favourite part of being a Children’s Councillor ? A.

I think the best part has been seeing ideas that I have put forward actually happen.

Q. Which has been your favourite event organised by the Children’s Council ? A.

Q. What three things do you think a good Children’s Councillor should do ? A.

I enjoyed helping with the Name The Dog raffle that we held for the Macmillan’s Cancer research coffee morning.

I think they should listen to everyone’s ideas, even if they don’t agree with them and make sure they are brought up at the meeting. They should give good feedback and tell their form everything that was discussed at meetings, and they should use form period time to get the form’s ideas and share news.

Thank you Rohan for being an excellent member of the Children’s Council and sharing your thoughts with us.
