Letter from the Editor

July 2010

I can’t believe another year has flown by and I am sitting here in the office putting the final touches to The Hallfieldian for 2009 – 2010.

I hope you liked the new format we produced last year and I think this year’s magazine is even better with lots more photographs and articles. My thanks to the staff for sending us a regular supply of reports and photographs and keeping us up to date with the achievements of the pupils here at Hallfield.

You will recognise many similar events and outings to last year but all enjoyed by a different group of children learning new things about the world, their friends and themselves. You can trace the journey the children have made artistically and musically, on the stage, in the classroom and on the sports field, and for those of you who love statistics there is the little book at the back - a complete record of 2009-2010.

The Chess teams have achieved wonderful results this year and I have persuaded Mr Hunt, the Chess coach, to write the report for us – so at least this year, it is accurate!

I hope you enjoy browsing through the pages and getting a feel for a year in the life of a very busy, happy school.
