French Le Château 3


Pupils from Years 5 and 6 put their knowledge of French vocabulary to the test when they watched a play, performed in French, by the Onatti Theatre Company on Thursday 11th March.


It was a story of a search for a suitable wife, a beautiful French Mademoiselle - but the English Knight, William Babbington, who was on the quest, was not looking for himself! He had been instructed by King Henry VIII to find him a new wife, his fourth, and to return to England with her portrait and hopefully collect his reward!


History Boudicca Comes to


Life for Year 4 7 In History lessons the children have been learning about the Celts and the Romans.


The workshop gave Year 4 the perfect opportunity to dress up in character, to offer a prayer to the Celtic goddess and to prepare for battle.


Unfortunately due to the strength of the Roman army, Boudicca and her Iceni tribe were defeated in 61AD but this didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the children judging by the blood curdling war cries emanating from the Upper School Hall.
