The yellobrik OTX 1910 fibre optic transmitter
Lynx Technik is launching a new yellobrik L-Band to fibre transmitter and fibre to L- Band receiver set at IBC.
The yellobrik OTX 1910 is a
fibre optic transmitter for sending analogue radio frequency (RF) L-Band signals over a single-mode fibre cable. It offers a switchable 13 or 18V LNB power selector, which toggles between horizontal and vertical polarisation. It also includes an internal 22Khz on/off low-noise block tone
generator for selecting high or low frequency ranges. The yellobrik ORX 1900 is a
fibre to L-Band receiver for accepting and restoring RF signals from a single-mode fibre. It accepts a wide range of optical inputs (1270nm – 1610nm), and includes two RF outputs for signal distribution or monitoring. Both yellobriks support L- Band ranges from 700MHz to 2300MHz. They can be used as standalone units or housed in the 1RU yellobrik rack frame for larger system applications. They will be available shortly after the product introduction at IBC. In conjunction, the OTX 1910 transmitter and ORX 1900 receiver make a robust fibre optic RF delivery system for distances up to 10km. 8.C76
Variable ND filter launches
Schneider Optics By David Fox
The new 77mm True-Match Vari- ND thread-in filter from Schneider Optics is ideal for DSLRs and large-sensor cameras without a built-in ND filter. It allows users to select an F/stop and shutter speed, and then vary the amount of neutral density to get the right exposure. The Vari-ND filter stacks two matched filters that, when rotated, give a density range from 1-1/3 stop to 11 stops, with minimal blue colour shift near maximum density. Its slim, low-profile design, avoids vignetting on most lenses. Step rings can be used to adapt it to smaller lens thread diameters. The Vari-ND filter is also available in a True-Match Vari-ND Filter kit, which uses the Schneider 4-inch Filter Holder and two True-Match Filters for filter stacking. 11.A28
