Alexandria, VA, Lodge, visited Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA, and laid a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknowns.


Herkimer, NY, Lodge members visited the Syracuse VA Medical Center and treated about 150 patients and staff to a barbecue lunch. Lodge members also gave the center more than 50 lap robes and 16 pairs of slippers donated by a local church.


Saratoga-Wilton, NY, Lodge members treated 25 veterans and staff members from the Albany VA Medical Center: Samuel S. Stratton to lunch at the lodge and gave each veteran a blanket. Liberty, NY, Lodge members visited the Castle Point VA medical facility and treated 55 veterans, staff mem- bers, and visitors to ice cream. Lodge members also gave the veterans 40 robes and $50 worth of canteen books.


Malone, NY, Lodge, with the help of scouts from Boy Scout Troop No. 61 and the Blue Knights, a motorcycle club for police officers, held a Ride for Veterans Motorcycle Rally fund-raiser and raised $1,500 for the local Dis- abled American Veterans chapter.


North Penn, PA, Lodge members visited the Philadelphia VA Medical Center and treated 36 veterans to dessert, beverages, and live musical entertainment. The lodge also donated 24 new T-shirts to the center to be distributed to veterans.


Chisholm Trail, TX, Lodge members, with the help of soldiers from the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, treated 45 veterans from the Temple VA medical facility to dinner at the lodge followed by bingo games featuring canteen books as prizes.


East Stroudsburg, PA, Lodge members and Antlers Program members visited the Wilkes- Barre VA Medical Center and gave gift baskets containing washcloths, shower gels, tooth- paste, reading material, puzzle books, and Halloween decorations to 22 veterans. In other news, lodge members recorded an interview with lodge member and WW II veteran John Kupice as part of the Library of Congress Veterans History Project.

West Orange, NJ, Lodge held its first annual Veterans Picnic and treated 40 veterans from the East Orange VA medical facility to a meal and enter- tainment by four comedians. In other news, lodge members, accompanied by members of the


Clear Lake (Kemah), El Campo, and Houston, TX, Lodges and ladies auxiliaries held a bingo session at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center for 41 veterans from the medical center and the DeGeorge Project, which serves homeless veterans. Lodge members treated attendees to a meal, dessert, and bingo games and gave door prizes to five veterans.


Lubbock, TX, Lodge donated $1,700 to the Big Spring VA Medical Center. Funds for the donation were raised through a garage sale and several other fund-raisers. ■
