Hutchinson, MN, Lodge donated more than $2,700 to provide each of ten children with a one-week camp experience at the Minnesota Elks Youth Camp, the state major project. troops overseas; a Semi-Pro Wrestling Match, which raised $370 to help the families of US troops serving overseas pay their heating bills; and a Ladies Night Out, which raised almost $400. The funds raised by the Ladies Night Out will be split between the lodge’s Scholarship and Christmas Basket Programs.


In other news, the lodge held its annual Soccer Shoot and had a total of 45 children compete in the event.


Hudson, MA, Lodge donated the use of lodge grounds to the families of members of the Massachusetts Army National Guard 181st Infantry Division for a Welcome Home celebra- tion and treated the 500 family members and friends who greeted the troops to coffee and snacks. In related news, the lodge held a picnic for about 100 Massachusetts National Guard troops and family members and treated them to lunch.


Duluth, MN, Lodge members were among 40 teams that competed in a Chili Cook-Off fund-raiser for the local United Way.


Thief River Falls, MN, Lodge spon- sored 14 children so that they could

attend the Minnesota Elks Youth Camp, the state major project. The total cost was $1,750.


Wadena, MN, Lodge donated $11,000 to help repair a local cemetery that was seriously damaged in a tornado.


Willmar, MN, Lodge members at- tended a Court of Honor Ceremony for 11 new Eagle Scouts from Boy Scout Troop Nos. 228 and 545 and gave each scout a certificate and a US flag.


Arcadia Valley (Arcadia), MO, Lodge held a fund-raiser for a seriously ill lodge member and raised more than $2,500 to help pay her medical bills.


Blue Springs, MO, Lodge held a KC Royals Alumni Party fund-raiser, which featured 11 former Kansas City Royals major league baseball players and coaches, and through auctions of donated items raised more than $3,300 for the lodge’s Christmas Basket Program.


Cass County, MO, Lodge members participated in the 150-mile Bike MS Kansas City Ride and raised $1,200 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Affton, MO, Lodge named St. Louis County Police Officer Justin Behlmann of the Affton Precinct as their Police Officer of the Year and gave him a plaque. Pictured awarding the plaque to Officer Behlmann is ER William Peck with Affton Precinct Commander Michael Dierkes looking on.


In other news, the lodge, with the help of scouts from Boy Scout Troop No. 62, held a Flag Retirement Ceremony and respectfully and properly disposed of more than 800 worn and damaged US flags.
