Iron River, MI, Lodge members treated more than 120 firefighters and their relatives and guests to dinner at the lodge and presented plaques of appreciation to the West Iron County and Caspian/ Gaastra Fire Departments. Weymouth, MA, Lodge held a Family Fun Day and treated about 200 children and adults to lunch, games, entertainment by clowns, fire safety demonstrations, and a raffle featuring two bicycles as prizes. Chelmsford, MA, Lodge members treated more than 100 participants in the Run for Ryan’s Cup fund-raiser to food and beverages. The lodge also donated the use of the lodge’s grounds and pavilion to the run, which raises funds for the RDA Fund, a local charity that provides needy families with child care assistance and sup- ports local safety and emergency services measures.


Fitchburg, MA, Lodge members presented a sweatshirt to each member of the lodge’s sponsored Cal Ripken Minor League baseball team, which is a youth baseball team for children ages eight to ten. The shirts were given to reward the team for winning their league’s championship.


Franklin, MA, Lodge held a series of fund-raisers, including a Patriots Home Opener event, which raised $1,000 to send care packages to US

Michigan Elks Association held its annual Soccer Shoot, in which 33 children ages 13 and under took part, awarded trophies to all participants, awarded additional trophies to the top two boys and girls in each of four age-groups, and gave drug awareness soccer balls to the third-place boy and girl in each age-group.
