Simi Valley, CA, Lodge, with the help of members of the local Marine Corps League Detachment, held a Police and Fire Appreciation Night, treated about 20 emergency services personnel to dinner, and awarded plaques to each of eight outstanding officers, Cadets, and Explorers. Our Schools and Support Our Stu- dents Dinner fund-raiser and raised $500, including $100 donated by the PER Association, for the Vacaville Unified School District to support student programs.
Van Nuys-Reseda, CA, Lodge mem- bers and Antlers Program members held a Police Appreciation Night that featured a reunion for a group of local police officers. The event, which 80 law enforcement officers attended, featured dinner, music, and skits. Lodge members gave each attending officer a certificate.
