CREATING EFFICIENCIES FOR CREATIVES

Spectra Logic BY KIRSTY HAZLEWOOD

Rio Media Suite, a modular media archiving platform aimed at simplifying content management for busy broadcast and post environments, is on show from Spectra Logic.

The company positions the Rio Media Suite as suitable for organisations handling large, long-term content libraries. The system manages ingest, movement, archiving and retrieval of media across on- premises, hybrid and cloud

storage. It is designed to speed up access to both full fi les and partial restores, reducing the time needed to locate and retrieve clips. The platform is now offered on a subscription basis, a move the company says should reduce upfront investment while still supporting decades-long preservation of media assets. IBC visitors can see how the software integrates into existing workfl ows, reducing search and retrieval times, helping teams spend more time on creative tasks and less on fi le searches. 7.B60
