Xiamen Came Technology (Came-TV) BY DAVID FOX
Came-TV’s Waero Pro headsets allow hands-free communication without requiring a base station. The signal range of the 1.9GHz DECT full-duplex intercom is up to about 518m line of sight (up from 366m with its predecessor) and stable, thanks to its dual antenna design.
It supports up to nine users for simultaneous communication without a hub, where the

previous model supported just four, and there is A/B grouping that allows users to switch between groups as needed. Team leaders can broadcast to everyone in both groups with one touch. The headsets include AEC and noise cancellation for clearer audio, as well as automatic frequency hopping if they encounter interference. Waero Pro includes
rechargeable 1100mA batteries and a charging dock, plus USB-C charging.
The Master should get 5-10 hours of talk time, while the Remote

headsets can get up to 15 hours. The system is available in sets
ranging from two to nine headsets. 12.H74
REEL INCREASE IN DIGITISATION WITH LATEST SCANNER SYSTEM Digital Film Technology BY KEVIN EMMOTT
Building on the success of a fi lm scanner system fi rst introduced in 2009, Digital Film Technology (DFT) is unveiling a new fl agship. Tailored to meet the growing demands in preservation, post- production and high-volume digitisation projects, Scanity 2 succeeds DFT’s fi rst-generation Scanity and Scanity HDR with cutting-edge performance and advanced imaging capabilities. Integrating a state-of-the-art imaging platform featuring DFT’s newly developed Scanity 2 Vision
TDI sensor technology and high-speed GPU-based processing platform. The core concepts and algorithms that were the basis for the fi rst Scanity generation’s success have been retained, including true RGB capture, DryGate and WetGate fi lm handling for multiple formats, and real-time IR dirt and scratch matt generation.
Scanity 2 directly addresses fast, high-quality fi lm digitisation
Engine, the scanner boasts enhanced high-dynamic-range capability, higher scanning speeds (30fps at 4K) and a signifi cantly
increased overscan range. DFT claims Scanity 2 delivers “excellent dynamic response” through its advanced multi-stage
The scanner integrates into the DFT’s comprehensive fi lm digitisation product and service portfolio, ensuring customers can rely on a single partner for both technology and support across their entire workfl ow, claims DFT. 6.A16
STREAMING ENCODERS OFFER A BONDING EXPERIENCE
Kiloview Electronics BY DAVID FOX
The P3 and P3 Mini wireless bonding encoders are aimed at outdoor live streaming and support bonding via KiloLink Server Pro, a self-hosted server either on cloud or on-prem, or paired with Kiloview’s new Cradle Series RF02 and FMG-400 media gateway module.
The encoders can also stream
directly over LAN, WiFi, or 4G/5G without a server. Their newly
upgraded USB Cam input support allows convenient, reliable, high- quality streaming from anywhere, claims Kiloview. The P3 offers UHD support, while the Mini is HD only. Both have four channels (HDMI and SDI). While the P3 can deliver four channels at 5G, the Mini offers three channels at 4G.
The RF02 is a compact 2RU rackmount for AVoIP applications. It can take up to 18 pluggable modules, with an integrated high-bandwidth network switch and centralised management

via KiloLink Server Pro. Its cards cater for transcoding and protocol conversion across AV formats such as NDI, H.264, H.265, SpeedHQ, SRT and Dante. It also supports multiview, NDI routing,
recording and can run NDI Bridge, simplifying workfl ow management. It has three 10Gbps SFP+ fi bre Ethernet interfaces and one 10Gbps RJ45 Ethernet interface. 10.D42
