Face recognition features can detect known and unknown individuals, assigning each a unique ID that can be used as metadata for future searches, CG lower thirds, or other applications. Speech-to-text functionality supports all languages, including multiple audio tracks within a single fi le. It can also extract text from video, associating it with the related timecode, providing searchable metadata, NLE subtitles, CG projects and open or
closed captions in MCR. Costanza AI also offers automated AI summarisation for automatic synopsis generation based on the speech-to-text result. Additional AI-powered services include logo detection, which identifi es brands and logos in sports broadcasts, talk shows and concerts. The extracted data, such as the frequency and duration of logo appearances, can be used by broadcasters to invoice the ADV to their agencies, providing sponsors with an instant report of how their campaigns have been placed. Video Coding (LCEVC) is the latest standard by MPEG and ISO, designed to improve compression effi ciency and video quality; as part of the IBC showcase it is being demonstrated beyond its broadcast applications and across various streaming
services, social media platforms, cloud gaming and immersive formats, including VR and XR. Globo’s launch of a DTV+ station in Rio de Janeiro, part of Brazil’s TV 3.0 initiative, is the fi rst worldwide to combine both VVC and MPEG-5 LCEVC. Guido Meardi, CEO of
V-Nova, a long-time supporter of the codec, said it proved that the technology is not a theory any more.
