SENDING CAMERAS TO THE COOLER DigitalFoto Solution BY DAVID FOX
After the sweltering summer experienced across Europe and elsewhere, the Iceman range of camera coolers from DigitalFoto might be a hot seller.
Designed to combat overheating during long shoots, the systems offer effi cient active cooling. Models include the Iceman-SE (with no built-in battery, but a USB-C port), Iceman-Pro (with internal battery), Iceman-FZ100 and Iceman-E6 (designed for Sony’s NP-FZ100 and Canon’s LP-E6 batteries).
The systems work with a wide

range of Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Fuji and Nikon cameras, depending on the model. They are suitable for compact, particularly mirrorless cameras that can be prone to overheating during long recording times, especially at high bitrates. The coolers are compact and easy to install, and said to be ideal for live streams or time-lapses. Fan noise is less than 35dB on all models, except the Iceman- SE, where it is only 18dB. They generally fi t using mounting frames and come with a selection for multiple cameras, sitting at the back of the camera, behind the sensor, where the closed screen usually sits. 11.B16
