26 CONTINUE THE CLOUD CONVERSATION ACROSS IBC2025


As cloud technology continues to play a crucial and transformative role across the media and entertainment industry, so leading industry players are sharing their insights and experiences across this year’s content programme. Unsurprisingly it’s a particularly hot topic on the Content Everywhere stages in Halls 4 and 5 with a number of sessions exploring cloud use cases. For example, in Hall 5 at 12:45 tomorrow, Francesco Moretti, Deputy CEO and CEO International, Fincons Group, and Paul Kane, Director of Technology, Content Supply & Distribution, ITV, will discuss the Content Supply Simplifi cation Programme, a recently launched initiative by ITV aimed at streamlining its cloud-based content supply chain to enhance competitiveness and meet the expectations of today’s consumers.


Later in the day, a panel featuring Anastasia Melnikova, Solutions Architect, Gcore; Marc Aldrich, CEO, Zixi; and Martins Magone, Chief Technical Offi cer, Veset, will take part in ‘Next Gen Streaming Infrastructure: How the cloud is coming of age’. They will share


a variety of use cases which demonstrate how the cloud is delivering resilience, scalability and fl exibility to broadcast operations and helping content providers to respond to the changing viewing habits. Also on Saturday, ‘Beyond the Cloud: How Microsoft is powering the next era of media’ at 11:45 will take place on the Future Tech Stage in Hall 14. Lydia Smyers, Vice President of Telco, Media, Gaming US, Microsoft, and Silvia Candiani, Vice President of Telco, Media, Gaming, Worldwide, Microsoft, will share how cloud innovation is enabling storytelling, streamlining operations and transforming audience experiences.


In addition, LucidLink will host a session on the Showcase Theatre in Hall 8 entitled ‘From Capture to Cut: Real-time workfl ows powered by AI & the cloud’, which will consider how real-time access and intelligent automation are changing the game for creative teams. project will be presented. This proposes the development of a cloud-based routing and monitoring system for live media streams, enabling acquisition, transport and oversight entirely within the cloud. The infl uence of cloud on media production, streaming


innovation and strategic growth will all be explored across the IBC Conference programme. At 16:45 today in Conference Room 1, Frank Rippl, Global Head of TV Product, Vodafone; Matthew Henick, SVP of Ventura TV OS, The Trade Desk; Sidharth Jayant, Chief Product Offi cer, Rakuten TV; and Tom Price, Director of Content Distribution, Roku, will be discussing strategies for gaining market share and getting content seen in the Smart TV OS landscape. New in Hall 14 is Future Tech, an area of the show fl oor dedicated to showcasing tomorrow’s technology. In addition to demonstrating technologies including generative AI frameworks, cloud-based innovations and extended reality, virtual production, spatial audio and dynamic fan engagement tools, the Future Tech Stage will also host four days of thought- provoking and forward-facing talks and demos.

Later in the day, Florian Gallier, Strategic Partnerships Manager, Mo-Sys, will explain how the company is empowering broadcasters, producers and


content creators to lead a new wave of authentic and immersive storytelling, shaping the future of media through technology. Sessions later in the week include a panel of leaders from Dell Technologies, Monks, Nvidia and Qvest exploring how AI is delivering real outcomes across the media and entertainment value chain; Wade Callison from Files.com will lead a session about the challenges facing today’s digital media workfl ows – and how they can be solved; and CaptionHub CEO Tom Bridges will offi cially unveil a real-time media localisation suite, purpose built for events at any scale.
