LIGHTRICKS ‘RETHINKING CREATIVE WORKFLOWS’ WITH AI
Making its debut in the Showcase Theatre this year is Lightricks, whose AI photo and video generation models power its various apps and platforms. These apps include Facetune, which enables one-tap photo editing, Photoleap, for edits to pro designs, the Videoleap video editor and LTX Studio, which enables AI- powered visual storytelling from concept to delivery in one platform.
The company – which was founded in January 2013 – also has an infl uencer marketing platform, Popular Pays, that provides creators with the ability to monetise their work, and offers brands the chance to scale their content through tailored creator partnerships.
Shani Mandel-Laufer, VP Strategy & Business Development at the company, describes Lightricks’ fi rst year participating in the Showcase Theatre as “a natural next step in our growing presence within the professional creative space. As generative AI redefi nes content creation, we believe it’s critical to be part of the global conversation shaping how these tools are adopted across the media and entertainment industry.”
She continues: “Our involvement refl ects Lightricks’ commitment to strategic, creator-fi rst innovation, and a desire to share actionable insights from our own work building AI-native tools like LTX Studio and the open- source multimodal model LTXV. The Showcase Theatre offers a unique platform to highlight how scalable, high-quality storytelling is evolving – and how Lightricks is helping lead that evolution.” Lightricks’ featured session, which takes place from 16:30-17:00 today, is entitled ‘Rethinking Creative Workfl ows with Generative AI’. It will be led by Mandel-Laufer. In the talk, she will explore how AI-native tools are reshaping creative workfl ows “from ideation through production without replacing creative professionals, but by reimagining how they work at scale”. There will also be a behind-the-scenes look at Lightricks’ development of LTX Studio and the open-source multimodal model LTXV, which supports real-time, editable storytelling and high-fi delity visual rendering.
Key themes of the session will include moving
from linear workfl ows to dynamic, AI-native environments; maintaining creative control while scaling production; the role of open- source innovation in creative tools; and how

partnerships across studios, agencies and tech providers power real-world deployment.
“As generative AI redefi nes content creation, we believe it’s critical to be part of the global conversation shaping how these tools are adopted across the media and entertainment industry”
Mandel-Laufer anticipates that visitors to the Showcase Theatre session will gain a wealth of insights regarding the possibilities surrounding genAI. “We hope attendees walk away with a strategic and practical understanding of how generative AI can transform not just individual creative tasks, but the entire architecture of content creation,” she says. “Our goal is to show that with the right tools, teams can collaborate more fl uidly, explore ideas more fearlessly, and deliver high-quality, brand- aligned content faster.” Accordingly, the session will incorporate plenty of insights into how “AI-native workfl ows, open-source models and
ecosystem-level partnerships are setting the stage for the next era of media production”, she adds.
As might be expected, the Lightricks team will be seeking out other organisations and individuals who are working at the cutting edge of AI-related storytelling during this year’s IBC Show.
Mandel-Laufer notes: “We’re especially excited to connect with others exploring the intersection of AI and storytelling whether that’s through creative tech, production tools, or new media formats.
“As we move towards more modular, scalable and collaborative content creation pipelines, we’re looking to engage with partners who are rethinking everything from pre-visualisation to post-production. IBC is a key opportunity to see how different parts of the industry are adapting and to spark the conversations that will shape what comes next.”
Lightricks is hosting a session on the Showcase Theatre in Hall 8 between 16:30 and 17:00 today. It is free to attend.
