compromising quality or incurring prohibitive costs. Finally, ensuring data privacy and security while delivering personalised content and targeted advertising requires sophisticated compliance strategies.

What are the biggest

challenges facing the media and entertainment industry? Most challenges relate to three concerns: latency, scalability and compliance with strict regulatory standards for data privacy and security.

Real-time content delivery calls for ultra-low latency for minimal delays, requiring advanced distribution strategies to bring content closer to end users. Scalability involves

accommodating peak loads instantly with considerable extra bandwidth without

How is your company helping its customers to address the challenges faced by the media and entertainment industry? To lower latency, Content Delivery Boost (CDB) leverages Orange’s extensive global networks, delivering content closer to end-users. Our CDN stretches over 200 points of presence (PoPs) across five continents. And in 25 countries, CDB servers are integrated inside Orange’s mobile and broadband networks, enabling content delivery directly from within the ISP network. To accommodate for rapid scaling, CDB’s intelligent routing and traffic management capabilities dynamically optimise delivery paths. This alleviates congestion and maintains

consistent performance. Additionally, CDB’s edge computing capabilities enable real-time processing and customisation, enhancing responsiveness and reducing delays. Finally, to ensure compliance with the strictest data privacy and security standards, CDB is governed by French and European law, providing a trusted platform for delivering personalised content.

What are the main areas of focus for your company during IBC2025? Our goal is to meet our customers and partners to demonstrate how CDB effectively addresses industry challenges. In collaboration with Ceeblue, we are presenting a live demo of Ceeblue WebRTS. This open real-time streaming framework delivers sub-500 millisecond latency, using standard HTTP infrastructure and TLS protocols. The technology is being showcased for the first time with a CDN powered by a

telco company with its own on-net footprint.

What are your priorities for the next 12 months?

Our priority for the next 12 months is to reinforce our position as a key player in the media value chain. Our infrastructure is a major differentiating asset, as we offer both an international backbone connecting ISPs to content providers, and last-mile connectivity in 25 countries through our fibre and mobile networks.

What sets your company apart as a technology leader? Network and service integration positions Orange Wholesale as a key partner for content providers, enabling us to develop and launch daring innovations answering our customers’ needs. Our global footprint, expert teams, involvement in key partnerships and strong CSR commitments earn us widespread acclaim from both our customers and the industry. 3.MS36

TRUE DIVERSITY MICROPHONE MAKES EVERY VOICE HEARD DPA Microphones

BY KEVIN EMMOTT

Marking a move into the wireless market, the N-Series digital wireless microphone system from DPA is a fully digital, true diversity wideband technology suited to an array of live, house of worship and corporate events as well as installed systems applications. With its dedicated wideband capabilities, every N-Series unit helps users quickly secure interference-free channels even in

the most densely RF-populated arenas and venues worldwide. It operates in the 470-870MHz range, with each unit providing

users with 400MHz of flexibility and ease of use. DPA says this wideband philosophy ensures a more secure investment, not

only because a single N-Series unit can be used in multiple locations, but also because it addresses the frequency shuffles that regularly take place around the globe.

N-Series’ wideband capabilities are designed to cope with ever-increasing RF congestion

N-Series also incorporates high- quality microphone preamps and analogue-to-digital conversion technology. In addition to its true diversity capabilities for secure connectivity in challenging environments, N-Series offers AES256 encryption for privacy, which is essential for corporate or governmental applications. 8.D30
