초록 사카라이드아이소머레이트는 오래전부터 피부
보습제로 활용되었고, 피부 장벽 기능을 개선하는 것으로 밝혀져 있으며 두피에도 유익한 효과를 줄
가능성을 시사했다. 사카라이드아이소머레이트를 두피 박편 질환에 대응하는 새로운 두피 케어 유효 성분으로 사용하고자 관련 주장을 입증하는
증거를 제시하기 위한 목적으로, DSM은 부착성 두피 박편 점수에 따라 두피 비듬 질환을 겪는 중국 성인을 대상으로 위약 대조 임상 연구를 수행했다.

DSM은 28일간 경피수분손실량(TEWL), 피지 분비, 두피 박편을 모니터링했다. 연구 결과에 따르면 사카라이드아이소머레이트가 함유된
포뮬러는 위약 포뮬러 대비 시간 경과에 따라 모든 매개변수에서 유의미한 개선을 보였다.
