Welcome to the July issue of Personal Care Global. This edition features our annual Korean language section where we present articles from some of the world’s leading cosmetic ingredient suppliers in Korean for our readers in Korea.

The key factor of the K-Beauty routine is

respecting the skin. Instead of using harsh ingredients that can damage the skin's natural barrier, the Korean skin care philosophy suggests working with the skin's natural ecosystem by cleansing, hydrating, nourishing and protecting it. The articles in this Korean language selection

on 29 June of its groundbreaking rhamnolipid biosurfactants plant in Slovenská Ľupča, Slovakia.

Yann d'Hervé believes the plant, the world’s

first industrial-scale facility making rhamnolipid biosurfactants, represents a major milestone in its strategy to becoming the preferred sustainability specialties partner. Rhamnolipid biosurfactants are 100% bio- based and 100% biodegradable, and being made from sugar, they do not require the use of tropical oil. In addition, they have good foam-forming

properties with pleasant skin feel – making them highly suitable for personal care products. Elsewhere in this issue, there is a focus on

anti-ageing cosmetic ingredients – a highly popular topic within the personal care industry. Here, we present features from Givaudan on

its Cristalhyal e-Perfection complex of bentonite clay and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid; CLR Berlin on uniting clinical proof with perception; and LipoTrue on the remastering of classic collagen. The next issue will be with you by early

September. Enjoy the magazine and have a great

summer.
