We were delighted to welcome 61 newly-qualified doctors to our Trust. Most of them will be with us for at least two years, and have spent their first year spent doing four- month rotations in medicine, surgery and the community.
We received a score of 98.19% for cleanliness, and 91.91% for food in our annual patient- led inspections of the care environment.
A group of nurses from the Philippines passed a tough exam to achieve fully qualified status in the UK. The Objective Structured Clinical Examination has a pass rate of just 49%, but 93% of nurses from Hampshire Hospitals were successful.

The road leading up to Andover War Memorial Hospital was renamed Henry Gamman Drive in memory of the man who donated the land that the hospital was built on 90 years ago. A special ceremony to mark the occasion, attended by Henry Gamman’s descendants, was followed by an open day at the hospital.
Staff at Candover Clinic got the chance to get up close and personal with an Olympic gold medal when GB hockey star Helen Richardson- Walsh paid them a visit.

The first group of nurses successfully completed the new look Critical Care Foundation Programme (CCFP). The course gives nurses new to critical care a chance to learn about the skills and knowledge they need.
