The high-quality care provided by our staff is reflected in the many positive comments, thank you cards and award nominations that we receive from patients and their families. Staff also often say thank you to each other through the WOW!


staff recognition awards. On 31 March 2017, our Trust employed 6,120 people on substantive contracts, equivalent to 5,315 full-time employees. In addition, we employed 1,289 flexible workers.


47 per cent of staff responded to the national staff survey. The results show that we made improvements in 26 per cent of the areas questioned. An increasing number of staff said they would be happy with the standard of care provided by the organisation if a friend or family member required treatment; an increasing number of staff said they get frequent opportunities to show initiative; and an increasing number of staff said they were satisfied with the support received from their manager.
