Midleton’s Milo McCarthy Receives National Recognition for His Charity Busking

A 12-year-old Midleton


busker who has raised al- most €18,000 for the Red Cross Migrant Appeal has received a National seal of approval.


Milo McCarthy was


awarded Young Person of the Year Award in recogni- tion of his support of the migrant crisis. The annual Person of


the Year Awards were held in Dublin’s City West Hotel last Saturday 3 December. The black tie event was presented by Gráinne

Youghal based community group, Phil’s Road Run, was set up by the local Terry and Healy families to raise funds for cancer care in remembrance of Phil Terry, who lost her battle with the disease on December 21, 2012.
