New Gym for Castlelyons GAA Our new Gym will be
ready for Monday 12th December, 2016 in a tem- porary setting, with que- ries already recieved re- garding when bodies will be sufficiently sculpted allowing for the room to be vacated, as it is urgent-
ly required for the play- ing season. So hopefully there will be a permanent location soon. This is an initiative by the players as they have worked hard in raising funds. Such facili- ties are commonplace in most clubs and it is good to see our own lads step- ping up to the mark and it may help along the way to eventual success.
Castlelyons GAA Lotto Jackpot now €6, 800 This draw was held in

did facilities, Barry Mo- ran for his work with the County Board and East Cork Boards on behalf of the club and also for all the photos he takes at match- es, the parents for bringing the girls to training and matches, the coaches for all the work they put in coaching the girls, without which, the girls could not develop their skills. Last but not least she thanked the players themselves for the commitment and dedication they showed all year to the various teams they were involved with and said it’s onwards and upwards for 2017. Christmas Draw You still have time to our Christmas
in Phelan who thanked the committee for their work looking after the affairs of the club. She spoke about commitment, that if each and every player, can buy into it, she could see the club playing Senior Ladies Football in the next few years.
When the speeches
had ended it was onto the presentation of the med- als to the various winning teams. Roisin Phelan and Emma Farmer presented the medals to each player as they made their way forward to tremendous applause.
Draw which takes place on Sunday next at 5pm in the clubhouse. Tickets can be got from any member of the Club, € 2 each or three for a € 5. Can I thank at this stage all those who sold tickets at the Christ- mas Bazaar last Sunday and can we have a final push this week before the draw on Sunday night.
AGM Our AGM took place
last Tuesday week. For a club that had such a won- derful year it was disap- pointing to see such small numbers at the AGM. We need support and help to run the club and the same people can’t do everything. The club is their for every-

Phil Terry Run Thank you to everyone who contributed
to
charity collection last Sat- urday. This year all
money collected will go to the Phil Terry Run who

this year are giving all the proceeds go to Get Buzzy with Izzy.
Last year We had a very busy year in 2016 between playing blitz and fun days. I would like to thank all the par- ents, grandparents and coaches for their help dur- ing the year. Look forward to meeting the entire panel
of Kilkenny. In fact, ten minutes into the second half Colman’s
one and we need to drive it on together with old and new people. New people bring new ideas and this is what we need. Anne Marie presented her comprehensive report on the activities of the year. After some discus- sion on the report it was adopted. Michelle presented her
Treasurers report which again after some discus- sion was adopted. Finance plays an important
roll
within any club and with- out fundraising and spon- sorship we would not be able to survive. It’s a very tight budget and we are grateful to Michelle for her work in this role. Our chairman Paul
then addressed the gather- ing and thanked everyone involved in the club in any way for all their hard work in 2016 and wish the club every success in 2017. Next up was the election
of Officers. Paul was step- ping down as Chairperson for which we thank him and was replaced by Aine Cronin, Liam Robinson takes on the Vice Chair- person roll with Anne Ma- rie Mc Allister re-elected Secretary and Michelle O’Driscoll re-elected Treasurer. We would like to wish
all officers the very best for 2017.
