MAURICE (MOSS) LYNCH

Late of Ballyvergan and Youghal - Died 8th December 2015-

On this the First Anniversary of his death, Moss is lovingly remembered by his wife Mary and daugh- ters Rosemary, Catherine, Deirdre, Niamh, their families and his brother Cormac. At this time we also remember his sister Kathleen and brother Pat who predeceased him.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all who sympathised with us and to those who trav- elled long distances to be with us at the time of the funeral. We really appreciate the kind words, Mass cards, tributes and expressions of sympathy. The large attendance at the funeral home and Funeral Mass reflected his many interests and involvement in various groups over the years. He was a devoted family man. He loved sport and played hurling with both Fr. O’Neill’s and St Itas and coached underage players. He had a lifelong love of traditional music and playing the violin, and entertained many people over the years. He was a member of the Gortroe Hall Committee for many years and a member of Muintir na Tire and Community Alert. He was also a member of the Friends of Youghal Community Hospital Committee.

A warm word of thanks to our faithful relations and friends who visited regularly and were a great sup- port. We are eternally grateful to the Public Health nurses and our great Carers whose kindness and as- sistance enabled Moss to remain at home during the two years of his illness. To Ann O ’Dwyer and staff at the Youghal Community Hospital who looked af- ter him so well during respite breaks and during his last week at the hospital, it was really appreciated. We also thank Dr. O’Callaghan and staff, and the staff at Youghal pharmacy for their support.

Our sincere thanks to Fr. Padraic Gleeson who cel- ebrated the Funeral Mass, concelebrated by Fr. Pat- rick Winkle assisted by Canon Tom Browne, Fr. John Lynch O.Carm, Fr. Kevin Mulcahy, Fr. John Keegan and to Canon David Herlihy for his support. We thank Mary Daly, Geraldine Landers and violinist Aifric Prendergast for the music which lent itself so beautifully to the Mass, and to Colin Bulman and staff for their assistance and professionalism.

As it would be impossible to include everyone please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation to all. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for your intentions. The First Anniversary Mass will be held on Sunday 11th December at 10am, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, The Strand.

Precious people are very few,

That’s why there was only one of you, Nothing on earth, could ever replace,

The sound of your voice or the smile on your face, Precious memories, tears unseen,

Wishing your absence was only a dream You always had a smile to share, Time to love and time to care A beautiful nature A heart of gold

These are the memories we will always hold. Loved and missed always

Your loving husband Donie and family.
