leton will hold a Sleep Out in aid of the East Cork Rapid Response on Friday, 16 December. Members of the group
will bear the cold and gath- er outside Midleton Court House from 5pm on Friday, 16 December until 11am on Saturday, 17 December to raise vital funds for the voluntary organisation. Michael Manley, Chair
of Imokilly Macra na Feirme said: “It is a very worthy cause. They do so much work in the area and they need all the help they can get.” The group decided they
wanted to give back to the East Cork Rapid Response, who have done so much in the community. Mr Manley said: “It is a
way to spread awareness and it is something differ- ent too. It is a very cheer- ful, fun night. Some people don’t
stay for the whole
night and others do, so an- yone can get involved.” The Midleton branch of Macra na Feirme has been running for over 50 years

people to get involved. Its sport programme in-
cludes: volleyball, indoor soccer, basketball, bowling, tag rugby and Gaelic foot- ball. The group offers travel
opportunities to members, organises national debates, runs drama competitions and much more.
