60 km Cycle Ladakh CIL Epic ride exploring the monasteries and villages of Ladakh

Set in the far north of India, Ladakh is a unique region, inaccessible during the winter months. For a short period in the summer the passes clear of snow and we can visit the remote monasteries and experience the Buddhist traditions that have shaped the culture. Starting with Leh as our base we cycle to Hemis, Stok and Phyang monasteries before following quiet paths along the Indus River. Few tourists visit this region and exploring by bike allows us to reach some of the smaller villages in the Indus Valley and gain an insight in to how people live in a region that is totally cut off for more than half of the year.
