Welcome to our new and expanded Cycling Adventures brochure. Whether you’re a keen cyclist or enjoy the occasional bike ride at the weekend - or even if you’ve been inspired by the London Olympics and just want to give it a go - we hope you’ll fi nd plenty to whet your appetite in these pages.
We feature 48 tours including all our popular favourites as well as exciting new routes in the Baltic States, Montenegro, Bosnia Herzegovina, Turkey, Bhutan, Burma and Cambodia. Also new this year - for the off-roaders among you - are exhilarating dirt track routes through Andalucia and Morocco’s Atlas Mountains, to add to our trailblazing Off Road Iceland tour.
We research our cycling trips with real care, combining the best routes and biking terrain with all the destination has to offer. You’ll enjoy not just the challenges along the way and the sense of achievement at the end of each day, but also the joy of exploring a country on two wheels: watching the landscapes unfold ahead of you, meeting the local people and experiencing everyday life well beyond the reach of conventional tourism.
To be as fl exible and unobtrusive as possible we cycle in small groups, usually with around 12 people, accompanied by a specially trained Explore Tour Leader whose knowledge of the route and passion for the destination will ensure you get the very most from your holiday.
Many of us here at Explore HQ love nothing more than to get out on our bikes at the weekend and on holiday, whether on or off road: these tours are all created by cyclists for cyclists. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
