Explore the Baltic States by bicycle on this guided route through Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Cycle through national parks and medieval towns, past feudal castles and picturesque fi shing villages. The mild climate makes touring by bicycle an especially appealing way to discover the lovely countryside and coastal cycle routes of the Baltics.


9 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour Vilnius, capital of Lithuania. Day 2 Trakai Island Castle Cycle from Uzutrakis Park to the town of Trakai and explore the church, castle and historical centre. Day 3 To Klaipeda Drive to Kintai and cycle to Vente Cape, famous for its ornithological station and 19th century lighthouse. Cycle through pretty fi shing villages to Klaipeda. Day 4 Curonian Spit National Park Take the ferry to the Curonian Spit then cycle on bike paths and forest trails to the town of Nida. Cycle the wooden path to the Dead Dunes with views of both the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon. Return by ferry back to Klaipeda harbour. Day 5 Amber Cycle from Klaipeda through the Giruliai Forest to Palanga. Visit Palanga


Botanical Park and the Amber Museum. Day 6 White sandy beach Travel by bus and by bike to Jurmala, famous for its 42 km sandy beach. Cycle along the beach then drive to Riga, in Latvia. Day 7/8 Lahemaa National Park Crossing into Estonia by bus, explore Estonia’s fi rst and largest national park by bike with its interesting mix of coastal bluffs, dense forest, 7000 year old bogs, 18th century manor houses, fi shing villages and numerous lakes, rivers and cascading waterfalls. Drive to Tallinn, capital of Estonia. Day 9 Tour ends Tallinn.
