Cycle through rural Andalucia to Seville, Granada and Cordoba
We cycle along the quiet backroads, scenic trails and converted railways of Spain’s attractive Andalucia region. There is plenty of time to explore the Moorish architecture and plazas of Seville, Cordoba and Granada. Our route passes through mountain valleys, high plains and spectacular canyons and includes two nights in a unique cave hotel.
8 day tour itinerary
Day 1 Join tour Seville. Day 2 Cordoba Drive to Ecija. Cycle along a converted railway bike trail to Cordoba. Enjoy an orientation tour and there is an optional visit to the remarkable Mezquita mosque – with a 16th Century cathedral built inside it! Day 3 Benalua Cave Hotel A scenic bike trail to the unique cave hotel on the northern fl anks of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Day 4 High Plains and Canyons Cycle through the desert and canyons of the Hoya de Guadix region. Days 5/6 Granada Ride across high plains and downhill to Granada.
Spend a free day exploring this historic city; wander through the streets of the Moorish quarter, visit the cathedral, take a trip to the intricately decorated Alhambra Palace or relax at the Arabic Baths. Day 7 Seville A morning drive returns us to Seville. Afternoon bike tour to explore the beautiful city where you can discover the 13th century Alcázar palace and cathedral. Day 8 Tour ends Seville.

Accommodation: 5 nights standard hotels, 2 nights simple cave hotel. Meals: 7 breakfasts are included. Tour Staff: Explore Tour Leader cycles with the group on Day 7 - no vehicle back-up is provided on this day. On other days the tour leader will be driving the back-up vehicle and will be available should assistance be necessary. Included Bike: We provide 24 and 27 gear conor city 350 hybrid bikes with front suspension - see tour notes for details. Route and Terrain: On this tour we cycle 178kms over fi ve days (an average of 36kms per day). Our route follows bike trails along converted railway lines and quiet backroads. The terrain is mostly fl at with several uphill sections. We have graded this trip as easy to moderate. Group size: Generally 10 to 16.
