both at
Strathgryffe on Thursday March 29th and has been running for ten years. The St Fillan’s players were overjoyed to claim the title as the school had never won it before.
Susan W eanie,
Tennis Development Manager commented, ‘We work in partnership with Renfrewshire Council and have the support of the local schools co-ordinators Pip Fleming and Donnie Wood. Strathgryffe tennis coaches had delivered a block of coaching to all the Primary 6 pupils prior to the tournament and then 8 boys and 8 girls were selected to represent their school for the event. The level of play was excellent from all three schools but at the end of the final round St Fillan’s and Houston had tied in points. The tie-break final was very exciting and I was thrilled to see St Fillan’s pick up the trophy for the first time.’
