Lochwinnoch Arts Festival
This is Scotland’s Makar Liz Lochhead who appeared at the festival. Her readings were well received and came at an event where local authors and poets also performed some of their own works.
Knit at the 19th
The Lochwinnoch knitting group now meets at Lochwinnoch Golf Club - Mondays from 10am - 12noon. All levels and learners welcome. For more information, please call 07809 120577.
Lochwinnoch Country Dance Club
Lochwinnoch Country Dance Club are looking for a TEACHER to take classes from September 2012. The Club has approximately 25 members who meet on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 - 9.30pm.

Mini Food Fayre Saturday 28th April
10am - 3pm - Outside the McKillop Hall
Head along to Lochwinnoch’s local mini food fayres typically featuring butchers, deli, pop up café, bakery, jams, pickles, oils, fish and other local seasonal produce. Events often also feature local groups including the village primary school, choirs and other live music.

Choral Society Spring Concert Sunday 29th April, Parish Church.
Music by Scottish writers and Rutters’ Gloria, with members of the Scottish Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Junior Choir will also perform some of their favourite songs.
Time - 7.30pm. Tickets £7, Conc £5, available from the usual outlets.
The Kilbarchan Singers
The Kilbarchan Singers celebrate 30 years of music making this year. Their Summer Concert is on Sunday 20th May at 7.30pm in Holy Trinity & St Barnabas Church, Paisley. Tickets £8 (Students £5) and includes a glass of wine. Tickets from choir members or phone Alison on 0141 580 6292. This promises to be a feast of good music covering a wide range, including Vaughan Williams Five Mystical Songs. The choir is under the direction of James Slimings and accompanist is Geoffrey Woollatt. This year their soloist is David O’Hanlon, baritone, who is currently studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
As part of the choir’s celebrations they a cutting CD so watch this space for further details.
