TO VEG CRISPS CATEGORY Tyrrells has unveiled further innovation in the crisp category with the launch of ‘Crinkly Veg’ crisps, a mix of crinkle cut Beetroot, Parsnip & Carrot Crisps seasoned with Rosemary & Wild Garlic available in 150g and 40g bags with an RSP of £2.99 and 99p respectively. Tyrrells has focused on developing the range of ‘crinkly’ vegetable based crisps in conjunction with consumers, where they chose Rosemary & Wild Garlic as their favourite flavour. The new Crinkly Veg crisps are made from selected vegetables and hand-cooked in sunflower oil and they join the Tyrrells root vegetable family - which currently includes: Mixed Root Vegetable Crisps & Sea Salt (Parsnip, Beetroot & Carrot), Parsnip & Black Pepper and Beetroot & Sea Salt - all of which have won Gold Great Taste Awards. Tyrrells Crinkly Veg crisps will be available from March in leading multiple outlets and quality independents, delis and farm shops.


EMMI GO ALL TAHITI IN


READY-TO-DRINK COFFEEMARKET Due for launch in March, Emmi are to release a Tahiti Vanilla Limited Edition Variation of its ready-to-drink Caffè Latte drink. According to Emmi, the product uses the same ground coffee beans from Guatemala, yet uses the smoothest Swiss milk and then, to top it all off, genuine vanilla essence from the island of Tahiti. Emmi Caffè Latte Tahiti Vanilla is Emmi’s first limited edition product which will be stocked alongside the permanent Cappuccino and Caffè Latte Light products. In Autumn, Emmi Caffè Latte Tahiti Vanilla will be replaced with another seasonal flavour. The product will be available from Waitrose and other leading retailers with an RRP of £1.19.


MCCAIN TO REVOLUTIONISEMEALTIMES? McCain have released their Ready Baked Jackets, which, they claim, combine themuch loved taste and smell of slow oven-baked jacket potatoes but are ready to eat fromfrozen in just fiveminutes. According to themanufacturer, the jackets have been developed following consumer research that revealed that consumers love the taste of oven-baked jacket potatoes but are put off preparing themby long cooking times. A TV ad campaign is due to air from4 February as part of a huge £6mmarketing programme for the launch, which also includes extensive POS in-store and heavy press, online, socialmedia and outdoor advertising campaigns. According toMcCain, the campaigns a) build on the strength of the current brand campaign to demonstrate thatMcCain Ready Baked Jackets taste, smell and fluff like an oven baked jacket potato, and b) reassure consumers that they are produced by a brand they love and trust.McCain Ready Baked Jackets are available in packs of two or four, with RSP for the four pack being £1.99.
