Riggs showing at Gulfood
Riggs Autopack Ltd is driving forward global business initiatives by exhibiting for the first time at Gulfood 2012 in Dubai, and will be located on the PPMA Stand at the British Pavillion. Over recent years, Riggs Autopack Ltd has expanded into new international markets and subsequently seen a rise in export sales. Traditionally this has been due in large part to their established trading partners in Ireland, Holland, South Africa and Japan, and through recently recruited sales agents in New Zealand, Spain and Eastern Europe. As the company’s international profile has increased, they are now also supplying their Model 1000 depositing and filling equipment direct to an increasing number of end users all across the world to food manufacturers in Sweden, Ghana, India and Jordan, and also most notably to the Sultan of Oman. replaced an inefficient and expensive wooden pack. One judge described the presentation pack as “a very original, clever cut-out design, which allows use of a single piece of packaging”. The pack is designed to resemble the wooden crate it replaced for Old Tom ale and is printed using high quality flexographic post print to such a standard, said the judges, that it’s difficult to believe the box is, in fact, made in corrugated. Called the Wrong Way Box, Smurfit Kappa innovatively turned the product on its back and used the top and bottom flaps to secure the product, so no extra fittings were required. Brand consultancy ‘i-am’ Associates has further enhanced its portfolio in the food and drink sector with the launch of the new Pan-Asian restaurant ‘East Street’, located in Rathbone Place, London.
