more, Rebecca spoke to Dave Wilson from Intersnack as well as Weetabix CEO Giles Turrell on how 2011 was for their respective companies. Looking back over the year, a
couple of things do stick out. The first, in our opinion, was the rising power of the supermarket (but with Tesco’s latest figures, is the tide changing?) and how this can change how FMCGs are innovated and sold. There was also a big effort to lower the country’s huge amount of food
waste that gets thrown away. So, here’s to 2012. Let’s keep
showing that the FMCG industry is one of the most resilient to the economic downturn and that we can continue to maintain our impressive growth streak.We personally can’t wait to see what
this year will bring!
