2011 SPOTLIGHT ON BELL PACKAGING Bell extend Jetran®

Bell re-package LoctiteTorqueMarque

Henkel, world leading producers of adhesives and sealing compounds, repackaged their Loctite Torque Marque 7414 Warranty Seal last year. Traditionally packed in bulk and shipped in outers of 48, the product was not available in a single protective pack. Marketing initiatives to bring this product to a wider audience were therefore initiated and packaging was identified as a simple solution of allowing customers to buy the product in single units. Research to find the best package was carried out and the Jetlok®

pack was finally

chosen as the solution. Reusable, recyclable and cost effective were three key areas of the decision, not forgetting the fact that the Jetlok®

pack is transparent

so no additional labelling was required. Selecting a standard size with no tooling or origination, the packaging is therefore secure, yet can be opened and closed so that the product remains safe on the shelf and easy to store.

Bell Packaging were pleased to further extend their range of standard sized locking ends last year. This unique design, says the company, allows tubes to be locked securely. Available in round, square, rectangular and oval shapes, the tubes vary in size from a minimum 48mm x 48mm up to a maximum 85mm x

85mm. With minimum order quantities of 2,500 packs, these provide an economic solution with no tooling or origination costs, says Bell. The end caps can be coloured and hangers added if required. In bulk production the tubing is supplied packed flat making shipping and storage very economic. Assembly is simple - by pressing the Jetran®

locking lugs locate into recesses in the Jetran®

tubes into the required shape and inserting the end caps the tube.

Last year, Amargan Hair Therapy Oil established itself as one of Europe’s leading provider of hair oils, an increasingly important aspect of personal presentation. The treatments were provided in sets and Amargan required a presentation that would allow the range to be presented as a gift. Following discussions and prototypes, a design of Jetlok®

the Hair Beauty & Innovation Exhibition 2011 held at ExCeL in London. The packaging design provided security and protection for the contents whilst the clear Jetran® Tubing allowed excellent visuals so the customer could see what they were getting. With the patented design of Jetlok®

closures,

this allowed the customer a reusable container so the products could be kept together, were clearly visible and after usage the end client had a container that could be used for other purposes. Following the success of this range, Amargan are now looking to develop other gift and professional ranges using Jetran®
