E-Close¤ wins Scanstar packaging award

was recognised for its
latest innovation in easy to open and re- seal solutions for fresh applications when it recently received an award from Scanstar, the famous competition organised each year by the Scandinavian Packaging Association. The results were disclosed in
November last year during an award ceremony in Sandefjord, Norway. In addition to this important recognition, Amcor E-Close®
is now automatically
eligible for the global WorldStar packaging competition. With E-Close®
, Amcor Flexibles has
developed a unique product range combining extensive know-how in
pressure sensitive adhesives with state of the art laser micro perforation technology. Amcor E-Close®
provides what the
company claims to be innovative opening and re-seal features, thus enabling a new positioning in the cheese market. Arla Foods, dairy market leader in Sweden, chose the Amcor E-Close®
lid for
their sliced cheese range as consumers reportedly enjoyed the easy to use features and appreciated the uncompromising protective qualities. Amcor E-Close®
was
successfully tailor-made to meet Arla’s needs in cooperation with Sealpac, a leader in thermoforming equipment for modified atmosphere packaging. As an industry leader, Amcor Flexibles
