They are being forced to adapt to climate change—indeed, their human right to protect their culture is under threat. Their request to the Western world is that we make changes in order to preserve what is left of the physical landscape that all of us know—the landscape that makes up our identities. They are thinking global and acting locally, as well as thinking local and acting globally!
