In the Egg Code to the left, the area is seven-tenths covered in ice (7). Reading down the left side we learn that the thickest ice makes up two-tenths of that total (2). Next, “6” describe the type of thickest ice, and lastly, “5” tells us the form the thickest ice is in— the size of the ice floe.
