transforming the chemistry of the ocean making the water more acidic. The most rapid change is taking place in the Arctic’s cold-water regions, leaving its marine environment, such as that of the Bering and Chukchi Sea, in double jeopardy. Oceans are resilient, however, and studying the interplay between earth, ocean and climate, we will explore our role in protecting life in the oceans—and ourselves.
