Your Climate Survey Survey Your Community! In the Field
You will be interviewing a total of three people. Use a new copy of this form for each of the three people you will interview. Remember: Do not include the participant’s name. Just enter the number 1, 2, or 3.
Before you begin each interview make sure to:
- Introduce yourself! - Explain the purpose of the survey: You are collecting observations in your community about changes in the local climate. You are interested in talking to them because they have lived here for many years.
- Define the term climate: Climate is the average weather in a location over a long period of time. Climate tells us what the weather is usually like in a place!
Then record the subject’s number and ask the following questions: Subject #_______________ How many years have you lived in the area?
Overall would you say that the climate has changed during the time you have lived here? If so, how has it changed?
