Midland, MI — Dow Corning® has in- troduced its EA-2000 Silicone Adhe- sive, a high-performance terminal sealant for faster, more cost-effective manufacturing of thin-film transistor (TFT) LCD displays. This innovative, low-viscosity, room-temperature vul- canizing (RTV) silicone sealant com- bines high flowability and good adhe- sion with a fast, non-corrosive cure to facilitate higher throughputs and thinner, more reliable display archi- tectures. Like other silicone materi- als, the EA-2000 Silicone Adhesive provides long-lasting durability com- pared with organic materials. According to the company, the
accelerating global demand for tablets, smart phones and other con- sumer electronics continues to drive

the growth of LCD displays, and panel manufacturers need advanced new materials to help speed produc- tion, control costs and improve the reliability of their devices. A valuable new addition to the
company’s already broad portfolio of terminal sealants, module assembly solutions and easy-to-clean coatings for display applications, EA-2000 Ad- hesive’s low viscosity allows fast and simple automated or manual dis- pensing with conventional equip- ment, minimizing conversion costs. This advanced new terminal sealant also cures quickly without the need for ultraviolet lamps to further streamline processing operations. Unlike many organic sealants, EA- 2000 Adhesive is solventless, and en-

sures a durable seal against mois- ture, dust and mechanical shock. Its non-corrosive cure reduces risk to sensitive metal components, and the sealant delivers unprimed adhesion to many materials — including reac- tive metals, ceramics and glass, as well as selected laminates, resins and plastics. In addition, the new ad- hesive delivers excellent dielectric properties for optimal TFT LCD dis- play performance, as well as good
thermal stability in most conditions. Contact: Dow Corning, 2200 W.

Calumet Electronics manufactures PCBs to provide a lifetime of reliable performance for products that demand zero failures and zero downtime. Our commitment to quality is driven by intelligent engineering, smart systems, advanced equipment and process control.
We are proud of each and every one of our high-performance printed circuit boards that are manufactured right here in North America and shipped all over the globe.
Simi Valley, CA —Hirose has expand- ed its robust DF62 Series slim in-line connector product offering to include two new versions with special plug/socket shapes. The enhanced DF62 Series wire-
to-wire connectors have a pin layout arranged in a 2.2 x 2.0mm grid pat- tern creating a smaller diagonal di- ameter, making it suitable for space- constrained applications. Utilizing a highly reliable two-point contact de- sign, the DF62 Series delivers ruggedized connectivity that is resist- ant to shock and vibration. The new connectors combine a
slim, low profile with rugged perform- ance and an advanced lock protection system. With a locking strength of 50N, the simple and secure lock struc- ture gives the user two indicators that the lock is complete; a tactile click and

a visual confirmation of the socket lock through the plug window. In ad- dition to the standard version, the ex- panded DF62 Series now includes a protected or guarded socket version that prevents accidental pressing of the latch and unmating during wiring (DF62C), and a panel mount plug ver- sion (DF62P). The absence of exposed metal on
the connector eliminates the possibili- ty of short circuits between the con- nector and other conductive parts, or when inside metal conduits. The DF62 Series has a current
rating of up to 3A, a voltage rating of 250VAC/DC and is Halogen-free as defined by IEC61249-2-21. Contact resistance for this se-
ries is a maximum of 30 milliohm, and the durability guarantee is as- sured for up to 30 full insertion/with- drawal cycles. Pin counts are avail- able in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 13, and now 24 positions. The DF62 Series has an operating temperature range of –35
to +105°C. Contact: Hirose Electric U.S.A.,
